Part-Time Kitchen & Bar Staff
Overview:
We are looking for a friendly, customer-focused, mead-loving individual to join our team in a hybrid kitchen/bartender role. In the kitchen, you will be in charge of preparing food items according to recipes and ensuring they are presented according to tasting room standards whilst maintaining a clean and organized work area and following health, safety, and food guidelines. Behind the bar, you’ll play a crucial role in providing a welcoming environment and exceptional customer service while pouring our selection of meads, wines, ciders, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages. Experience in similar roles is preferred, but we will train the right candidate.

MeadKrieger is a company with a deep inspiration in Norse history and rooted in the science of fermentation. In Norse culture, mead was a drink for both the common folk and the upper class. It brought people together and was used to celebrate community. It was also used in creative pursuits. Mead is mentioned in works from Aristotle to J.R.R. Tolkien to Michael Crichton. We want to continue the sacred tradition and bring our communities together! Mead harkens us back to basics, to inclusively celebrate life and our social connections. Requirements:
21+ years of age
Kitchen and/or customer service experience (preferably both)
Good time management skills
Ability to be flexible
Have - or - willing to obtain TIPS and SafeServ certifications
Reliable, organized, and able to handle a quick paced environment
Can work on a team or independently
Hours:
20 - 25 hours/week
Wednesdays 1:45pm - 6:00pm (kitchen)
Thursdays 1:45pm - 7:00pm (kitchen)
Fridays 1:45pm - 6:00pm (kitchen)
Varying weekend bar shifts (typically one 5-hour bar shift per weekend)
Pay:
Kitchen shifts: starting at $15/hour + food sales bonus ($1 - $2/hour on average)
Bar shifts: starting at $12/hour + tips (varies, average of $20 - $35/hour)
